Miki Hickel happily explores as many different creative outlets as possible. She’s been a writer, photographer, illustrator, painter, and designer. Miki has a BA from The Evergreen State College in Social Sciences and Interdisciplinary Media Arts. She recently relocated from Olympia, WA to San Antonio, TX with her boyfriend, his daughter and their dog and is currently taking commissions.

You can see some of her illustration work in several zines and in Zine World #25. The website she designed and maintains (AxWoundZine.com) was recently mentioned in Rue Morgue and The Guardian. She also showed her paintings at Olympia Artswalk in 2009.
